About Country Vinyl Radio

Country Vinyl Radio's story began with a lifelong passion for country music. I started in radio in 1975 at the age of 13 at WQIX FM in Horseheads, NY, doing on-air shifts and production. After moving to Houston, TX, I worked at local stations and later became an audio engineer and musician, working with artists like Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, and Ricky Skaggs in the 1980s.

Throughout the years, I remained active in the industry, eventually becoming the staff bass player of the Wheeling WV, Jamboree and an artist member in 2017. While working with the Jamboree's radio station WWOV FM, I took on air and program director duties. In 2018, I decided to create Country Vinyl Radio, an internet-only radio station, broadcasting from Ocean City, MD.
